When the weather starts to heat up taking off our shoes seems to be the first way to cool down.  We choose to walk bare foot along the beach, choose comfort over style and throw out the lace-ups in favour of thongs. However, you can’t avoid shoes all season.  TheTrendSpotter has found 5 shoe styles that will keep every man cool this season.

When you’re too hot and bothered to tie your laces, slip ons are a great alternative. They are stylish and comfortable without ever being too restrictive. Loafers are a more stylish option whilst an espadrille is perfect for a Sunday morning coffee run.

Boat Shoes

These classic deck shoes will add the perfect finish to any casual weekend look. Paired with jeans, short or chinos, you will never find a summer afternoon where these are not welcome.

Suede— the summer alternative to leather. Everything from a classic derby to a chukka boot is available in suede and will cover all you on all occasions. Whilst black is always a safe option, for summer, try something lighter, like sand or navy blue.

No shoe collection is complete without a stylish pair of sneakers. And, with so many designers doing collaborations with shoe labels, there is no reason to not have the hottest pair this season.

The Oxford shoe is a style icon and should be in your wardrobe all year round. Always make sure you have a pair this shoe in black, but for summer, try mixing it up with a brown pair or some brogue detailing.
